If you already have a domain name registered, then you need to update the named servers / dns servers to those we provide to you.
You can usually do this through a control panel at the registrar you registered the name with, if this is not possible you will need to ask your registrar to do it for you.

We do not transfer domain names as part of our free domain name offer, if you require a free domain (yearly plans only) then the domain you choose must not already be registered.

If you wish to transfer a domain name to us (.com .net .org .biz .co.uk .org.uk only) then you can do so here:

http://simplybehosted.com/domains/transcheck.php

there is a fee for this. .co.uk .org.uk domains will require you to update the IPS tag prior to transfer, please change the IPS tag via your current registrar to'ENOM'

Domain meanings:

Update named servers /dns:
This means that you update the named servers for a domain you already own, the domain will then point to our servers and can be used on your hosting account. You will continue to pay renewal fees to the current registrar.

Transfer a domain name:
This means you move the domain name away from your current registrar and all future domain fees will be payable to simplybehosted.
